It’s becoming easier to meet someone, but harder to know them. Anomie refers to one's disassociation from the rest of society, while (cultural) assimilation refers to one's adaptation. This documentary follows three college students who have moved in, a native or moved out of Los Angeles. We follow how these individuals cope with feeling socially distant in a place with so many people and how they each find their ways to deal with this issue.

A short film directed by Rebecca Hoffman.
Puriel, a case worker in the Hereafter, has become disillusioned with her work and yearns for a transfer. After a previous case goes missing and is presumed to be off haunting, she pins her hope of redemption on her next case. Unfortunately, her next case is a self-absorbed American senator who is more inconvenienced than enlightened by his own demise.
